As the winter sets in, it becomes important to take care of your skin. The days are cold and the temperatures drop at night and becomes difficult to take care of your skin. Skin being the largest organ in the body, here are some tips to skin care during winter:

  1. Drink Water: To maintain healthy skin during winters is to stay hydrated. We don’t realize it but, staying hydrated is always a top priority whether its summers or winters. This is necessary because you get more dehydrated in the winters than summers so its important to keep drinking more water.
  2. Avoid Hot Showers: Keep your shower time as brief as possible. Have your baths in lukewarm water and avoid hot water. Moisturize on a slightly damp skin.
  3. Moisturize Well: As the weather gets cold, your skin starts to become dry. Moisturizing is a way to take care of your skin. The best time to moisturize is after you have a bath, when you go out and before you sleep as your skin needs to be warm.
  4. Dress Comfortably: One should dress comfortably in order to allow the skin breathe. Choose the right kind of fabrics. Prefer cotton.
  5. Stay Healthy: During the change of climate is when infections like viral, bacterial can make sick. Eat healthy and keep your immune system high to avoid sickness.
  6. Don’t neglect your lips, they dry the most during the winters. The best way to avoid this is by, keep the balm always and keep applying them as and when the temperature drops.
  7. Try Bath Oils: A comforting way to provide your whole body with soft skin and keeps your skins hydrated during the day.
